Halloween - Scary Pub Crawl in Midtown Atlanta

Oh wow!
This Friday night out was so hilarious, crazy, weird, exciting and fun!
Well, first I got to say that Halloween is suuuch a big deal over here. There are stores opening up especially for Halloween where everyone's buying his or her costumes weeks before the 31st October. Suburbia turns  into a scary neighborhood where everyone is trying to have better, bigger and scarier decoration around the house than Mr. and Mrs. Next Door. The more, the better!

Okay and now there us people who have never ever dressed up for a Halloween Party because no one in our home country necessarily thinks of costumes for that night out. Very soon it became clear to us that we would need a costume if we wanted to enter a club that night as that was the dresscode everywhere. Why not! ;)

Super excited we went to all these Halloween stores where we quickly had to learn that girls' costumes are usually super short, super tight and super NO GO! The Lady Gaga costume was the NO NEVER EVER GO one and unfortunately I can't put pictures online due to personal privacy rights! ha!
According to that our shopping tour and Halloween preparations took a little longer that we had thought they would but eventually we all found something to wear ;-)

We got tickets which allowed us to enter several bars, pubs and clubs so we started our Friday night with a little stop at Panera where Wonderwoman, Batgirl, a musketeer, a witch and a Roman empress walked in to get some drinks and snacks. Gosh - how embarrassing as everyone was looking at us like we must be from a different world (or foreign country?). What was wrong, I thought all the Americans loved Halloween? But 5 stupid looking girls is better than just one - so actually it was FUN for everyone I guess!

After meeting up with Beetlejuice and Mrs. Robin Hood we hopped from one bar to the other and met so many funny people on our way! There were Ernie & Bert, the Cookie Monster, the guy from the movie Hangover, Spiderman, Tom Cruise, bananas that must have taken drugs...and many many more.
We stayed out quite long and went for a breakfast to IHOP...so finally back at 5 am and almost 24 hours awake, I had no trouble falling asleep at all!

All in all, one of the best nights I had in a long long time!! :o)
